Daren Painter

Originally licensed as an Atlanta Realtor in 2001, Daren Painter enjoyed the early years of his career proudly selling the historic in-town neighborhoods of that city with its leafy boulevards and diverse eras of architecture scattered with interesting cafes and shopping districts. In 2004, he along with a partner purchased their first mountain property alongside a mountain laurel-studded hillside and a babbling gentle waterfall in the private resort and retirement community of Big Canoe and started renting it on the newly established Vrbo website. From the moment of welcoming the first guest, Daren was hooked on the short-term rental industry and found his eye for design and a house with great bones combined with his dozen years prior experience in hospitality prepared him perfectly to excel in and thoroughly enjoy the burgeoning vacation rental market. Within a couple of years, he purchased a couple more within the Big Canoe community as well as began to assist Atlanta buyers purchase investment properties in the mountains.

In early 2016, Daren made the big leap to join a longtime friend, already well established in the South Florida real estate community, in Fort Lauderdale to grow a brokerage and establish a separate property management company to serve the growing investor and second home buyer market already well underway there. With the establishment of Dwellings in 2017, Daren continued to assist both buyers and sellers with their investment transactions and developed an eclectic array of vacation rental property offerings in his portfolio. Guiding investors through the acquisition, renovation, fully outfitting, licensing, and finally marketing of an investment property was and continues to be a real passion for him.
